Whenever winter rolls around we often feel like it’s license to develop a ‘winter coat’… Time to visit us at our beautiful day spa in Torquay Victoria!

Stretch, stretch, stretch- and massage..

There’s something about winter that seems to make us ‘as stiff as boards’. This makes it hard to be limber and nimble during this season. Set aside some time each day to loosen up – if you are able, reach down and stretch for your toes, then come up slowly and arch backwards. With a few simple stretches like these, you can get your flex-on for the day ahead. Get into a stretch or yoga time table (at least one – two sessions per week) top it off with at least with monthly Day spa packages your body will feel amazing!

Chilly time is not chill out time!

If you’re keen on fitness in the warmer months but find it harder to get motivated in winter, try replacing any outdoor activities like running or bike riding with things like indoor swimming or taking up that gym membership for this time. Our ‘Wellness’ partners are here – promoting good health locally. Aim to keep your ‘sessions’ the same in winter (ie. if you do exercise 2-3 times a week in summer, keep that number up in winter – just in new and different ways). Oxygen and movement will keep your immune system strong- always aim for at least a light sweat as this will stimulate your immune system and keep your metabolic rate ‘burning’! And remember the only ‘chill out time’ could be in a warm cosy treatment room receiving any one of our day spa packages.
