What Is Light Emitting Diode?Posted on May 28, 2020
We have heard of LED, but why does everyone love it?
Introducing a non-invasive and painless treatment that aids in numerous benefits, including accelerating cellular healing and tissue repair. The LED approach to skin health is based similarly on the way sunlight helps to achieve photosynthesis, increasing cell growth and strengthening of cells;
As you bask underneath the red and amber light, energy stimulates skin cells, and the energy from the different coloured lights help to recharge tired and dull skin by penetrating deeply into the layers and creating a variety of reactions required to boost radiance and resilience.
As this is occurring, we feel a familiar warmth overcome our body and mind – Are we actually laying in the sun? No, but it feels like we are on a summer vacation! Because as the sun does, the LED is also stimulating our favourite feel-good neurotransmitter – Serotonin! But without the accompanying UV damage. On that note, back to skin health.
Pain management and reduction of inflammation and swelling are also key benefits obtained from regular LED sessions – including safe treatment for eczema, psoriasis and acne.
In addition to healing and repairing the skin’s tissues, it promotes better product absorption by increasing blood circulation, oxygenation, and lymphatic flow.
Light emitting diode, (LED) can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapies such as facials, skin needling, peels, pre and post- surgery, or on it’s own with zero downtime.
